Represents the behavior of a scaler in an optic system.

abstractmethod inverse_scale(scaled_value)[source]#

Inverse scale the value of the variable.

Parameters:

scaled_value – The scaled value to inverse scale

property monotonic: bool#

Returns True if the scaler is monotonic increasing, False otherwise.

abstractmethod scale(value)[source]#

Scale the value of the variable for improved optimization performance.

Parameters:

value – The value to scale

transform_bounds(min_val, max_val)[source]#

Transforms the bounds according to the scaler’s behavior.
